I have just purchased 4 yes 4 Indian Ring Necks. A Lutino Hen and a Blue Cock plus their offspring. The young lad I got them from has to rehouse them, as his parents say they are too noisy, and he has to get something quieter. They are very well looked after and not neglected and are absolutely beautiful. They are going to keep them until I get their new aviary finished which will be in about 3 weeks. Dean loves them but living in the city they make a lot of noise hence having to part with them. I live on a farm and have plenty of room. This is a new adventure for me as I have only bred budgies, chooks and ducks, and I am really excited about it. I need all the info I can from anyone who has these beautiful birds. Have joined a couple of forums and been to the Library and a couple of reputable breeders for advice but as I said need all the ADVICE & HELP that I can get.

Hey avril love the male IRNs. I have just bought a female ringneck Pippa. Dont know much about them as yet either. But she is gorgeous and very well handreared, hopefully may get her a partner one day.

They are beautiful! If I remember any of the genetic lessons from the budgie sites, the baby blue one will be a girl.

I am going to get them DNA tested to tell what sex they are. The ring doesn't really come into effect until the are 2 - 3 years old and I can't wait that long. I want to know now,
I hope I have boy and girl as my friend has two and we are going to swap them around that way no brother/sister pairing.
You can pair Mother/son, father/daughter but I don't want to break my parent pair.

They're really pretty, i've only seen them in person once before and they're such beautiful birds. I'd be impatient to know the gender too, lol. Let us know what the results are.
