It's background music - What a wonderful world, it really makes the video a tearjerker It does doesn't it? Yesterday afternoon when she phoned me to tell me she's sent me an email I had no idea what to expect ..... I started crying as soon as the first picture appeared ... little fat Flick ... his eyes weren't yet opened. The picture that made me cry the most was the one of Pip ... he's the little hoodie in the basket ... his picture was made into a coaster and sold by www.acrorats.co.uk .... he was my daughter's first rat. He was the most wonderful little companion ... he and Chloe idolised each other ... the hole he left will never be filled by any other pet. I have so many memories of him .... such as .... the night my three children emptied their money boxes of every last penny so that I could pay the emergency vet in cash when she rushed to his aid when he had breathing difficulties ..... of him going upstairs by himself when he was tired and lying on Chloe's pillow until she came to bed ..... of him coming back downstairs if she was too long and sitting in front of her until she came to bed.... sitting beside her while she did her homework ... looking at the pages as if he knew what it was all about ..... and the night he died ... when a light went out in our home .....

Oh Dawn ... don't be scared of them .... they are fantastic little creatures. I'm ashamed to admit that when John and Chloe brought her first two rats home I was mortified .... I told John he had to take them back to the pet shop. He said he would but I had to be the one to tell Chloe ... she was so thrilled with her new pets that I didn't have the heart to ... so I secretly wished that they'd soon be dead! I too thought their tails were awful .... I didn't dare touch them for ages ... Here's Pip sat on my knee eating a grape.

oh what a sad thread this is! I love rats and have had loads over the years... none now though, the little black hooded looked just like my first and best rat Doodle, they make such wonderful pets and someone who has never owned them can never know what they can give to you! Bless little Flicks cutesy ears!!! I am sorry for your loss Angela x
