Excellent Anna! Are you getting a pair? yes karen, i hope to breed them next spring. they are babies from this year, so next year should be good. omg, i was on the phone with the gal that i am getting them from yesterday, my head was going in circles. she was talking about who was spit for blue, pink etc. my head hurt!!! i cant figure out budgie mutations, let alone bourke! so you'll have to help me on that karen! i will be after all your bourke expertese!!! anyway, tomorrow is the day quick question, i assume the cage setup would be like a budgie, toys etc? they are on the roudybush crumble pellets, so i picked up a bag yestersay. and i figured i would TRY to get the budgies on them again. so they are on 1/2 seed 1/2 pellets, we'll see how it goes this time! i just cant give up this time!

Genetics! I'm no good with that! That baby pic is soo cute! The ones you are getting are not related? When mine were in their own cage I fed them on cockatiel seeds as they like sunflower & safflower seeds which when they are breeding is good as it contains extra fat.

Hello friends
For any of you that made it to FDIC this past week, you may have seen these. There is a company out there that just released these new Bourkes that are NFPA compliant. They are essentially the same design, size, mechanism, etc. except the material is different so that they do not melt and drip when exposed to high levels of heat. Instead they just singe back when exposed to high temperatures. They are completely interchangeable so that if you have a current helmet with bourkes, you can simply buy these new ones and switch them out without problems. I put my name on a mailing list to have a dealer contact me, as they were not for sale yet @ FDIC. FYI- I believe they are going to be marketed under the name EZ flips and should be available by late May. It's a small battle, but it seems like we may have won this one!
Have a nice day
