Well here we go again! lol I was going to hold off telling you all until I had visual aids LOL! but couldnt help myself, plus I am stressing about it for some reason.. well needless to say I think I will be spending extra time in the timeout corner of the confessional lol Okay!! We finally found Gracie Ann a Husband!! (A tiny male Shih Tzu) cant wait & I will have pics of him tomorrow to show you! ..he is currently 9 weeks old..& absolutely gorgeous show quality angel! on another note! Kimberly (The breeder) her mom raises Top show Danes! she has German & Euro imports Well every so often they have deaf babes born & try & find the perfect homes for them!! well They found out Chantell (my 18 yr old is deaf) & so guess what! I will be sharing my home with not one more doggie but 2 & one of them babes will be the equivelent in size to the majority of my dogs LOL! but this angel in need, is I think going to be a blessing for my Chantell..she so loves her dogs & loves training so much, that once she found out that she would have a deaf one to work with & teach sign language, she started to cry!! & that in turn made me BAWL like a baby! then my hubby teared up & asked me to please stop it because he was having a hard time hanging on to his tough macho trucker image LOL! but I will be posting oodles & oodles of pictures of both new additions...soon I am gonna need to build on to my house for crying out loud

I didnt know your wonderful little dog had disabilities, now I feel like I can come to you with questions that always helps to have someone that knows! I want a video camera so bad to record progress, MINE broke last year UGH! I really think this is going to be special!

Im very proud of my girl, most people dont realise shes blind, and very often they dont realise she has no eyes. There are some very special people i have known for a while on the blinddog forum, and they were a godsend. Some have blind and deaf puppies.
The lady at my vets has a deaf greyhound, and she knows just enough sign to get them through the days. Your go through such a learning curve together Lauire, and the little breakthroughs you have during those times, is just so special.
Danes are just beautiful, hes going to be one huge special boy!

Scully, you should see the list of signs she wants to teach him..lol she is bound & determined to make a list of every single sign she teaches him too.. being fluent in ASL-I am hoping she can hopefully inspire other hearing impaired & deaf folks/kids to adopt a deaf dog.. Kimberly already told us that he would more than likely be her new shadow LOL! Chantell will love it, thank goodness shes a tall kid lol.. she already has told me its time I buy me a new bed so that she can have my queen size mattress!! cheeky little monkey..i told her she needs a king sized mattress! the daddy weighs ALOT! so since both are imports & he will be fixed, im betting he gets to 200 lbs I think Trucker-my 2.5 lb Yorkie boy, is going to think we lost our minds when he sees the pup! lol he has such little mans syndrom!!
