Hi I have a 2 year old indian ring neck. At least thats the age they told me he was when I bought him I got him from a person who was selling him on kijiji in our town. His name is mojo. well mojo knows step up, gives kisses.and likes to be played with but only for a short time.We got mojo in may. so he is adjusting well I guess .BUT my question is mojo does not talk so do you think he is too old at 2 to learn at his age It does not matter We still love him and he has a forever home here. But I still would like to know. Thank you so much for your response EVE
Hi Eve, Mojo sounds lovely! I like the IRN's, they are lovely looking birds. If he's 2 he should have a full ring by now - reckon they look great when they have their rings. I don't reckon any bird is too old to learn to talk - if they want to that is.
My ringie that talks is an aviary bird and as he talks soooooo much, his neighbours have picked up on one phrase, "wot r ya doin'?" 2 of the birds that have repeated what he says are young but the other one who now says this is at least 3 yrs and has a ring. So there is hope for an older bird to talk.
It's quite funny coz when I am outside, I can hear "wot r ya doin'?" in echo mode lolol
Thanks for the hope, I'm pretty sure Mojo is saying WHAT That is what we say to him when he jibber jabbers. He loves our dog Benny so when Benny comes around the cage,Mojo goes down to the bottom of cage, looks at the dog and says what sound to us like WHAT Could that be possible or are we just hoping so EVE
