The new Camera I bought is a Canon Powershot S5 IS 8mp 12x zoom. It is one step under a DSLR. I wanted the video capability still with the camera as I may go traveling international again next year to Africa. So I wanted to be able to take video and with the Digital SLR cameras you loose that capability.
I am still a newbie at Photography and have to learn all those manual modes and functions with ISO and Aperture priority and stuff like that and the Canon S5 IS lets you do all that as well and I can add lenses and filters to it.
I'll be buying a Macro lens soon as the S5 IS has Macro and super Macro mode and I want to enhance these Macro shots even more so I am looking at getting a Raynox DCR-250 Macro lens.
