Oh, that's really sad. I'm so sorry that the little guy died. I'm sure he benefitted from all your help though. He was a lucky bird to have been found by such caring people and as you say, he would of died happy, warm and well fed. That's how I want to go! You did your best for him, if it's not meant to be, it's not meant to be! I hope you won't be feeling too bad for too long. You never know, this could be the start of a new hobby for you. Birds are wonderful fun and I'm always glad when I hear of people finding out about birds and wanting to know more May your little feathered friend have fun and boundless energy up on his cloud!

I'm so sorry to hear that he didn't make it. I've been reading this thread, but I'm sorry to say I didn't really have any advice different from what the others said. Sorry I couldn't be of any help. It is obvious that you cared a lot for him. Just remember you did your best, so don't feel too badly. He isn't sick anymore, poor little guy.

Oh no I'm so sorry to hear the news that the little guy passed away a friendly hug coming your way from the UK for both of you Can i assure you that you did your VERY best with him and he died comfortable and warm, without you he would have died cold and lonely, or even attacked and killed by local animals Thank you so much for caring enough to take this little bird in and do your best for him - I wish there were more people like you in this world, it would make for a much better place I hope you both feel better about this soon - and maybe consider another bird to take into your hearts, they are so rewarding

Brandon, I am very sorry the little one passed. It seems to happen just as they build a nest in your heart. He seemed to bring as much joy to you and your girlfriend as I'm sure the both of you brought to him in his last days. Rest assured there is an extra star shining in your honour now and the little one will be very happy and playing with his other little buddies over the Rainbow Bridge. Please don't be discouraged, I can tell from very recent personal experience that tragedies like this can make you lose heart but really, birds are the best medicine to help heal your heart. Please don't leave us, even if you decide not to bring another feathered one into your heart we will happily share ours with you.
