After finding my little IRN chick in the nest with splayed legs, he is doing much better now.
Just look a this!
Before....
Taken yesterday....
As you can see, he still kicks his leg out to the side slightly and when he is left without any support, after awhile he lets it go outward, but all in all a great improvement in just a few short day.
I am so pleased with my lil' Aussie Battler.
And here again is my perfect little one
Aaaannnnnddd......gonna be an ino of some sort going by the eyes
But the parents were sold to me as Male-Grey, Hen Cinnamon/blue. So I am guessing dad has an ino gene in there somewhere.
According to the genetic calculator, IF dad does have an ino gene, then my little one will be a hen.
I said to Shane the other day that I thought he was a she going by the shape of the head.
I took Sponge Bob to the vet 2 days ago as I was concerned about slight swelling in the joints. But I wasted my time. All the vet was indicating was that he should be put down because of the splayed leg problem NOT happy with that!!
She seemed a little uninterested in him so I left slightly lighter in the purse of course ;p lol
I continued my medical treatment at home....and just look at the results!
Oh and she wasn't my usual vet. My vet was away and the relief vet wasn't too confident on treating birds, so they transfered me to another clinic in town.
I think I would have been better off taking my chances with the un confident relief vet.
Anyway, that is the progress on my little one so far.
Will keep you in the know on how he's doing.
