This one in particular I bought this squirt of a hen, Nancy, for a friend for Mr Green, but sadly she was just too nasty to him, and i decided to put her in the avairy. She was also being nasty to Kaeci, and he ended up with no feathers on his head, as she pulled them out. He has a lovely crest back now ;D Anyway she is now giving the other two hens alot of grief, and i just dont know what to do with her..any ideas? rescue remedy? wacky baccy?(kidding!) shes a wicked little budgie

Wish I could help you there. I don't have any birds that are nasty to anyone. Good luck with it though!

How frustrating... I hate this sort of thing. You want them to be happy, but you want the others safe too. I don't really have any "safe" ideas other than to keep her by herself with LOTS to do... shredder toys, etc. I've had hens that settled down after breeding, but if she already plucks her hubby, that doesn't seem to be promising for the chicks. She is a beauty, such a shame! I guess just try to keep her busy.

My only suggestion would be to clip one wing. That way she will be slower than the other birds and it will cause her to lose a bit of confidence.

My Fifi was a big meanie for a while, but she's fine now. She's not meant o her mate - mostly just humans if they decide to touch her...or other birds when they bug her when she's trying to eat! Hope things get better!
