i have a female pearl cockatiel and a grey male cockatiel i put them together in a nice roomy cage so they can breed but when my female tiel gets close to my male tiel the male keeps pecking and ignoring here what do i have to do to make them breed and there age, who knows the breeder didnt tell me and it has no leg band

By the photo they only look young how long have you had them?best to breed them about 18 month if any earlier the hen mite have egg bound problems and if young they mite not be the best parents

THey look to young to me.. I am pretty sure you have a male/female pair. But from the colouring on the face of the male I would expect him to be under or if not just a year old. And the hen looks to be about the same..
So you will still have to wait a little while for them to breed.

LOL with tiels they will most certainly let you know when they want to breed, you can't make birds breed - you can provide them with the best of everything and they still won't breed until they are ready. As Phill said you'll have to wait awhile, most likely next season which should start around July/August.
