I may take a little while to figure out how to use this forum, but I'm glad to be with you.
I'm a grandmother raising grandchildren who are now 15 and 17 but I've had them since they were newborn.
Now I have two new babies---lovebirds less than 6 months old! My youngest granddaughter named the female Phoebe so I named the mail Phinius. They're hand fed and the sweetest little birds. I've never had lovebirds before but have had three conures, three cockatiels, several parakeets, and---briefly---a cockatoo. (I'll tell the story of the cockatoo later, but he had a happily ever after---never fear.) I adore birds and I'm so thrilled to have these new babies. At present they're my only birds but I look forward to having them for a very long time to come.
The girls each have a cat and I have a min pin but I keep the other pets in the rest of the house and my birds in my bedroom with the door shut. I spend lots of time in there so they don't get lonely, though.
I look forward to learning a lot about lovebirds here and getting to know all of you. I've never had lovebirds before. My oldest's friend's mother raises them and she gave them to me a couple of days ago along with a really nice, big cage for them. I'm totally smitten with them already.

Welcome aboard! It's been a bit slow here lately, but I think we're still around.
