A budgie. My uncle keeps teasing me and telling me where I can get one, and all that stuff. My mom said that I would have to get rid of both of my guinea pigs before I get a budgie. Uh, no way. I love my piggies too much! They are amazing! And cute! I don't know what to do! I am willing to sacrafice the fish, but not the piggsters! I don't know what to do. My mom is not easily convinced, but when it comes to animals, she can be, sometimes. But lately, she seems not to be. Any advice?

Yes, listen to your Mother. You seem to be willing to throw away your fish. If you get tired of your birds would you throw them away for something new? Having Guinea Pigs and birds in the same room would not be healthy for the birds anyway. You could not touch the "piggies" and then touch the birds and vise versa . Lots of hand washing involved , especially after touching the cages or cleaning them. Your Mom is probably aware of this and thinks maybe it will be too much of a job for you to keep up with. Do some realistic thinking about how much time it will take to properly take care of ALL these animals before you decide to go further. Also birds will need to be taken to the VET. Bird Vets are expensive, can you pay for that? Lots to think about.
