Please read this and take immediate action if you see it with any of your birds...
Kiki (yellow kak) had a trip to the vets the other week, she was a little quieter than usual one evening and by the next morning she was sneezing, unable to balance and permenantly cold so the vet was called immediately and she had an appointment booked for 2 hours later.
The vet was very good with her, we explained that she had gone downhill extremely fast so she was weighed and we discovered she had lost quite a bit of body weight but surprisingly had been eating and drinking as normal so she checked the rest of her and put her on an intense course of antibiotics.
After 5 days the antibiotics finally seemed to be working and slowly she regained her steadiness and stopped sneezing, it was a close call and on more than one occassion we thought we lost her.
She has been back to the vet since and has been given the all clear, we have been advised to try converting her to pellets to make sure she keeps the weight on that she has regained, which we are now in the middle of doing (another story, but will fill you in on the progress on that one another day).
If you see your bird sneeze, wobble on their feet and lose weight please take them to the vet ASAP. Kiki had only started her symptoms 10 hours before her appointment at the vet and even that was pushing it.

Dusty and Guido 'very' occassionally sneeze (I've never heard my two budgies sneeze), I guess they are pretty much, or are normal, I think Guido is getting *old* , and they don't wobble their feet and Dusty is actally little over-weight, gotta cut down the peanuts to once a month and more apples to keep the doctor vet away! lol. Good thing you checked Kiki before it got *worse* .
