Well, we got the test back friday. He had a fatty build up on his liver, and some toxins in his liver. The toxins are what killed him (and probably the other 2 also) were from mold spores, and they came from the seed. Unfortunatly, it takes so long for their bodies to process the toxins, its from seed about 3 months ago, at that is long gone. The scarey thing is, their can be in itty bitty amount of bad seed that gets processed, and can contaminate bag after bag, and they cant track it down. At least I know it wasnt some kind of scary bird disease!
Anyway, we also got a clean bill of health on Lemon & Nibbles, and they are now in the aviary per the vet (all of them are on antibiotics for a month, so it is safe to add them, anything they could possibly have will be taken care of with the biotics. so its actually a great time to do it! Sugar is looking good, the stool is good, just loose, and thats from the change in diet from the pellets. We will keep them on the biotics for another month (i think just to make me happy!)
So all is good in the aviary!!

Anna! That is indeed great news Anna. Give your birds some extra vitamin B - this will help with liver function. Molasses will flush the urates from the kidneys.

Great news Buzz - so glad you finally know what caused it. Not knowing is the most awful part & you must've been on tenderhooks waiting to find out. Hope Lemon and Nibbles settle in quickly

Karen, dumb questions, but how do i give extra vitamin b? and how do i serve up the molasses, on pankakes??? lol Vitamin B - can be liquid human vitamin B Molasses - liquid form in drinking water. Molasses has a disgusting smell & you should only use it for 2 days at a time. About 3 tablespoons per 1000ml water should do it (difficult to mix with water & most will sit at the bottom of the dish). After 2 days discard it promptly & thoroughly wash containers - otherwise it leaves a stain that'll take 6 months to wear off. Vitamin B - I give 5ml per 500ml water for 3 days once every 6 months. Betadine lotion (iodine) a few drops per litre every 3 months will help with breathing.

HELPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP Not sure if I'm in the right place but the baby kaks I got from Batty are driving me batty when it's time for them to go in the cage. Rios an angel, does her stuff and goes back for food[like Henri did] Dipsy[pixi] is a flamming nightmare. I open door and Rio sussed how to do it straight away Dipsy goes to the top of the cage and pulls like mad at the bars or trys to push herself throughj them [im afraid she may hurt herself]. Ive caught her and put her out and I'm sure she knows what she's supposed to do and bless Rio she goes back to help her but to no avail. Its just took me 5hours to get them in 'cos of Dipsy!!!!!!!!!!! Done my shoulder no good and probably done babies no good[they had lots of exercise tho!]. WHAT I WANT TO KNOW IS>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> any easier way to get them both in as that's main prob and getting them in sooner??? Any advice most gratefully required.Message me if poss 'cos can't always fine myself round here. THANKS XXXXXXXXXXXXX TIG

I'm so glad its working out for you now BuuZbee, sorry for the late reply only just found this.
Tiggernut 5 I don't know if this would work for Kaks, but when I was trying to transfer budgies from cage to cage they didn't like standing on the thin edge of the door itself. They didn't seem to understand where the gap was. The way I solved it was to put a twist on perch on the outside of the cage in front of the door, then they had something nice and visiable to land on and walked along the perch and after a peer around went through the door ok, this works well for going in or out. I think they have a problem if they can't figure out where to land to go in/out. I use this method each time I need them to go through the door and they seem happy with it and took to it straight away.

Don't chase the birds around trying to catch them. Invest in a good quality bird net - will make it quicker getting them back in if they won't go in of their own volition.
