Well after yesterday batting around like a luny, I put Classic FM radio on nice and quiet so it wasn't so quiet here as the pet shop would be noisier and I wondered if he was scared of the quiet. Also added a mirror as I felt so sorry for him being all alone. He does the strangest think looks over his shoulder and makes a move that looks for all the world like a hammed stage faint. Doesn't pass out or close his eyes but every so often he does it. I can't work out if he is just looking for the edge of the cover thats over the cage so he can climb on the wires or is trying to locate the sound of the budgies across the room from him? Very Crazy Bird. Baby no name is 10 weeks old has grey markings on his wings and is violet/ lilac although he looks quite blue in these pics. 'He' has a navy tail. Any suggstions for names. I'd like something handsome and regal, I fancied calling him Amathyst but he is a more blue violet rather than a redish one. Having said that I may yet ask if I can borrow the name Button as it is such an adorable name. Also like 'Sweetie' but see what you think. Still think he is a boy from these pics? Please let me know just in case we get a call from the breeders about a partner bird, so far have asked for a girl. Hugs Billie xx

How old are they for the first moult, is it 6 months.
He was a star gave him a bath yesterday and he though the door was open and dived through only to find himself in the water, he paniced and jumped out again, put the bath on again today and he went in and out several times. Only just covered the base with water so he doesn't get scared.
The mirror I put in the cage I took out and hung on the outside of the cage instead. The mirror helped him settle yesterday but he lunges at it an looks like he's attacking it, don't want him to learn that or he might do the same to the other birds when he gets in the big cage.
I think I'll have to call him Tiny, I have been calling him that for the last few days while I tried to decide and I think it's stuck. Don't want DH to call the grey Bevis if I were to call him Buttons. He'll still be Button in my heart. #rolleyes#
