Johann was the victim of my ignorance. He had a really bad case of scaly feet, and the band cut of the circulation before I did anything. I thought he would get better. As a result, his feet aren't as mobile and they look pretty bad. He is doing much better though, and is actually regaining the use of his right foot especially. I now know the warning signs, and keep a close watch on the other birds so that something like that never happens again.

Well he looks ok now and I'm glad you know what to look out for now.. Johann was the victim of my ignorance. He had a really bad case of scaly feet, and the band cut of the circulation before I did anything. I thought he would get better. As a result, his feet aren't as mobile and they look pretty bad. Just catching up on posts, your birds are really beautiful, lucky you. Looks like they have lots of space in the aivery too.
I would want to call the newbie Lemonade as he looks the same colour as the lemonade ice lolly's I had when I was little.

Thank you! The albino, yellowface violet, and the two babies in the fifth picture (greywing and cobalt recessive pied) all need names. I'm thinking that the greywing is a cock and the recessive pied and albino are hens. The yellowface violet confused me because I don't know about the effects of the yellowface mutation on the cere color, but because it's bright purple I think it is a cock. Any name ideas are welcome, as I seem to have run out of ideas.
