since I've been in here!! HI!! I have myself a new adopted bird. A sun conure To be honest I didn't think I'd ever want one but was offered a 4 year old someone was desperate to get rid of. They called Mr. Cranky, later named Mrs. Cranky when she laid an egg hehe Anyway we have renamed her Squash. She is very much a velcro bird LOL only took one week to start to settle in & also took a week to like Dave! Boy she hated him & stuck to me like glue. It may have been a security thing but after a week she decided to like Dave. She started of being wonderful for me & quiet!!! & rotten & noisy for Dave. Now she's quietened down alot & is accepting the daily routines & us etc.... Of course, I know my boys will pick up her horrible screeches....there's no getting away from that LOL Here she is....Oh & her nick name is LB (little b***h) On arrival in her new home after a shower trying to fit into a bath LOL She HAS TO have toast for brekky every morning For the type of bird I would swear to never have, she's very loving, quiet (she knows how when she really wants to) smart & soooo comical in movements & grunts. She's a real little (occasionally noisy) sweet pea.

Thanks everyone.
She has become a little cheeky since settling into home nicely.
Noise level has dropped dramatically in the house YAY. Our house hold is back to normal noise level LOL She's a tad noisy certain times of the day but mostly she's very quiet.
She's certainly not a shy girl either LOL she does express her needs & wants quite clearly. She's hesitating before coming onto my finger. When we first got her, she wouldn't step up. After a few days she did but would often bite first!! Now she stopped biting & just hesitates.
So each day I can see how much she's improving!! She really loves cuddles & scratches but I'm a little unsure as to when I can give them to her without being bitten or threatened in any way. She was a little unpredictable at first, body language getting easier, much different to my boys body language!! But I'm still unsure as to how far she'll let me go so I do hold back on a few things until I can know her a little better.
