hi there im new to this i was wondering if somone could give me advise regaring my pair of kakariki. i bought the birds and was told that they were male and female. the one that i believed to be male has recently laid an egg how do i find out what sex they are. pleeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaasssssssseeeeee help

Hiya,
the males will have a very wide beak and if you look at their profile they have a rounded head, the females have a smaller neater beak and when looking at their profile have a flat spot on the top of the head. You can also go by behaviour too, the females are very much "destroying" birds and will chew almost anything they can get their beak on and the males are the "noise" of the pair.
if you post some clear pictures up i should be able to sex them for you.
