Harry has started to really bite lately and he is drawing blood. Have done nothing to bring him to do it, just a total change of attitude towards everyone in the family and myself included. Is this because of the new birds we have been buying? Harry gets the same amount of attention as all of them, maybe he needs more?

you could try the good behaviour lets him stay out with you, bad does not.
or put some gloves on, so he sees biting means nothing to you, and it might be easier to teach him no
shame they cant tell us how they feel sometimes

Mmm, I was reading about biting birds last night. When I find what I was reading, I will post it for you. I will say that Skittles can be very territorial about one family member, and can attack if anyone goes too near. They seem to bond overly to people, maybe the newcomers have upset her bond with you

How old is Harry, could it be he is reaching sexual maturity, Im not sure what age Loris reach it but Ive a hormonal tiel thats causing me a bit of a headache with the same behaviour currently.
My best advice is routine, birds that have a routine are less likely to play up in my experience, Noo has never really had one since he is silly tame but since this behaviour he has had a set routine and he is MUCH better.

Thanks lin, would be good, he is fine sometimes he can be really cuddly towards me and rest his beak on my chin, and fall asleep, next minute will snap out of his cute mood and attack, especially when you make full eye contact. So I have avoided making eye contact for a while when I have him on my shoulder and see how that goes. I have all other birds on my shoulder as well, but how much attention can I give a bird. Harry gets plenty as he only comes to me, b1 and b2 are great, they have bonded to me and andrew so andrew pays them attention whilst I sort harry out. Hope he gets out of these moods, as he is a really bueatiful little bird when he wants to be.

you could try the "im not speaking to you" trick? i do this with frosty (budgie with attitude) and for the most part it works. if he bites me i put him in front of me turn my back on him and he hates it, he does all he can to get my attention again and when i cave in and turn around again he is back to being my lovely boy. i normally have to do this a few times when i first get him out but then after that he is fine.
might be worth a go?

Well harry has turned around for some strange reason and is the cutest little bird again, I really dont know what has gotten into him lately. He was sleeping on my cheek the last few nights and having showers thru the day and is a totally different bird, I cant work him out. Although I am avoiding eye contact with him so he wont attack everything I am doing with him seems to be working, heres hoping he stays like this.
