Well finally got a hold of my son's digital camera and thought I would show off my new Superb Parrot Romeo. Now seems Romeo doesn't live up to his name and from the friend I bought him from he has had no luck pairing him up with the female of his species. Seems that Romeo leans to wards the other side and fancies males LOL but well not really worried too much if he doesn't breed, I just luv his vibrant colors. Cheers Anna

OMG YOU CRACK ME UP LIN. WELL I HAVE HAD A GAY BUDGIE AND ALSO HAVE A GAY MALE TIEL AND YES DESPITE MY EFFORTS TO PAIR THEM UP WITH THE FAIRER SEX THEY ARE JUST NOT INTERESTED. MY GAY BUDGIE CALLED GAY PIERRE WAS A MAGNIFICENT ENGLISH GREY AND HE BONDED TO A MALE. WHEN THE MALE TOOK UP A FEMALE PARTNER GAY PIERRE WOULD FEED HER AND THE BABIES BUT WOULDN'T LET HIS OTHER PARTNER OUT OF HIS SITE. UNFORTUNATELY GAY PIERRE ESCAPED ONE DAY WHICH WAS VERY SAD AS HE WAS JUST A KAK TO WATCH. CHEERS ANNA

Hi Karen, no surprisingly the beaks on the Superbs are quite small compared to the size of the bird. I also have just acquired a breeding pair of Regent parrots and their beaks are quite small compared to the size of the bird. Cheers Anna

Well he is in an aviary with my superb female parrot called Zena. So far so good, no squabbles. Will have to wait till the new breeding season starts around August this year to see if he will change his mind . The female of the species get quite demanding at the start of breeding season begging the male to feed them but for the rest of the year they are not usually romantic with each other. Time will tell. Cheers Anna
