Hi, I was wondering what kind of foods you give your Green cheek conures? I've only tried the birdy bread and mixed vegetables containing carrots, corn, peas, and brocoli. Fruits I've tried are banana, grapes, and apples. I'm afraid to explore more foods incase it's not good for him. Can you guys give me ideas of what kind of dish I can serve to my Green Cheek Conure?

My green cheek likes cherries. I give him half of one, and he eats the inside (flicking the skin onto the floor). He also likes oranges if I give him a small slice, though he tends to just lick at it instead of actually eating it. Once in awhile, I'll give him half of a salted peanut as a treat, but I'll wipe off some of the salt with my finger. He LOVES it.

Out of all my birds, My GC Biggles, is the best eater of the lot. He will try most things, and normally loves what i dish up for him. He eats rice, pasta, most veg, but hes not a big lettice eater. But he will chew on dandilion, chickweed, and thistle, baby spinach. Beans, peas, carrots, broccolli, celery, baby sweetcorn, or corn, pepper, if i have not any fresh i will give him a frozen small mixed veg. Oranges, apple, grapes, pomegranates, blackberries, cherries, allsorts of fruit really. He loves a bit of our spagetti bolonase, Chicken, and tuna(in spring water) sometimes, i mix some up with rice. All this sort of food, in moderation as a treat.
To help them eat this ,sometimes if you warm it up a little they go for it more. I wish all my birds were good eaters like Biggs. As a baby before i got him, he was introduced to quite a variety , and i think this is why.
