Hi. I am a new member from Ontario Canada. I have been reading your post for awhile. I have a Indian ring neck He is still new to us but he is about 2 years old we were told. We purchased him from someone that only had him for two weeks. He could not tell us to much about him. My first time with an IRN. We had him for three weeks now and he is adjusting fairly well, he knows step up,but well not take food from my hand, and runs away from me when I come close to him. So after all that what I m really saying is I hope we can become good Friends. Do you think this is possible. Thanks for listening. EVE

Hi Eve - welcome to the forum You've come to the right place to make like minded friends who love their birds I'd love to see some pictures of your ringneck, they are such beautiful birds - I shouldn't worry too much about your bird not taking food from you yet, if the previous owners only had him for 2 weeks then he'll have had a bit of unsettlement the last few months and he'll just take a little while to settle in with you and trust you, I'm sure trust will come soon enough though Deb

Hi and welcome Eve. Just let him settle in for a while and just spend some quiet time next to his cage so he can get used to you and learn to trust you. Ringies are beautiful.

G'day Eve! Welcome to Bird Crazy. IRN's are a lovely bird. The ladies are right, he needs time to settle in but he's doing great if he's stepping up already!
