Hi about 18 months ago I saw this lovely yellow bird in a petshop and was told he was a male kakariki so home he came . I have been trying to find information on them but not sucsessfully last month he laid 13 eggs 1 every other day she has stopped now so now I am looking for a male for her she is a yellow crowned lutino I found this site searching the net for information

G'day adaluara! Welcome to Bird Crazy. There are a number of Kakariki slaves here, I am sure they will be more than happy to offer any advice you need. You might even be lucky enough to find a boy here. Gotta luv them sex changing birds huh?

Hey there, welcome Adaluara! Goodness, well, I guess you had a bit of a surprise! I don't have any kakariki advice to add, I've never had them, but I'm looking forward to hearing more about yours! Like Karen said, there are several people on the boards who can help you out. ;D
