hi I hope someone out there can help me! I have a red rump parakeet which I've had for about 3 years she has been fine until now ,it's a bit strange but she seems to have lost some of her cheep seriousley she has lost her voice at presant she eating well seems livley but she is in molt HOPE SOME ONE CAN GIVE ME AN ANSWER THANKS.

Hi and welcome to the board Is she trying to sing and it just won't come out or is she just not singing at all? When they go through moults they can become quite down as it can be very uncomfortable for them - she may just not feel like singing if she's going through a particularly horrible moult... bless them, they can get quite depressed and grumpy when moulting, little loves

My females tend to be very quiet when they moult - I think they get so miserable they don't want to do much of anything. Just keep up the veggies and maybe get a moult aid from your pet supply company or vet to help her through it.
