Hi and welcome to the forum Is he moulting? Poor babies, when they moult they get so miserable. I have real trouble with my male tiel when he's moulting, he can get as nasty as can be. When he's not he's the most cuddly bird you'll meet. It could also be that it's their breeding season at the moment - is he a lone male?

My male bird has sulky moods. I think Debbie's probably cracked it with the moulting or breeding season suggestions. Or have you maybe changed his food recently? I know it sounds silly but a change in food could of upset him a little. By the way, welcome to the forum!! You're in the right place for advice!

Yes we'd love to see some pictures once he's settled down for you ;D If he's moulting you should try Aloe Vera in his bath water - it softens those hard itchy pin feathers so they come through less itchy If you think it may be because it's breeding season them I'm afraid it's something they will just snap out of when their hormones settle, there's not much you can do about it

Hi and welcome aboard How old is he? Cos in my experience with males, when they go through the adolescent stage they can get very tetchy. I've not known this to last more than a couple of months though, so if this is the case it wont be long till before he gets his hormones under control and you get your normal loving little boy back

Hello there, welcome! I've got no experience with kaks, but there is already a lot of good advice suggested. Hope he gets back to his friendly self soon, for both of your sakes.
