I thought it was about time I wrote to you about life with my new mum and dad
I have settled in really well and I get to spend alot of time with my mum - I feel my braveness strengthening every day. Once a week we go to see Mum's sister and nephews, I love it there as they give me treats and we go off to their bedrooms to play with puzzles and toys. ;D
The other birds here keep me company when mum isn't around, Alfie the tiel can get quite loud sometimes so I have learn't to tell him to 'shut up' I can now say mmmm nice and hello too. My mum is very proud of me trying to learn new words - she's also a bit of a pushover when it comes to the little sounds, squeaks and pips I make
I absolutely love my cuddles and scratches - I could stay like this for hours.....
It's not that I don't like the other birds here but I don't have much in common with them - I much prefer to sit with mum and watch the fish swim round the aquarium. I sing to them all the time.
I'm signing off now because Mum's just come in with some lovely fruit and some chillies for me
Awww! Meg it is so good to know you are well and happy with your new family. I now have a lump in my throat reading your "letter". I'm glad you love your Mum, we all know how loving you little brownheads can be when you have a lovely family/home. I have 3 of your siblings here now! The eldest one looks just like you and she is weaned waiting for a lovely new Mummy or Daddy to come along just like your new Mummy came for you. The two little ones are still being spoon-fed so won't be looking for new homes just yet. Your biological Mum & Dad are now looking in the nestbox yet again!! I blocked off the box from them for the last few weeks so Mum would have a rest from egglaying. Seems as though they love making babies!! Thank your Mummy for posting your letter to me here on the forum & I hope to hear more news from you soon. Best wishes sweetheart
