Well they certainly have come a long way in just a few short weeks from a little ball of fluff to beautiful coloured grown up birds. They took their first offical flight yesterday after a week of practicing, and now just try stopping them lol. Over the weekend Shane took these vids while I was playing with them. They are such cute and very playful little ones. Here they are... au.youtube.com/watch?v=qMPbC4PrFGs& au.youtube.com/watch?v=PVVFWLu0h_oHope you enjoy

Thanks Laurie & Scully that was lovely to watch Tasha, are you keeping them? Unfortunately both these little ones were "spoken for" last year, just the parents didn't breed till this year lol. One is going to a guy who bought a IRN of me last year and the other one is going to Shanes mum so I can see it whenever I visit. The parents to these are on 2 eggs again and I think this time I will keep one.....but Shane doesn't know about my plans yet lol...sssshhhhhh....;P

I have a very special place in my heart for all lorikeets. Your babies are beautiful. I love the way they lay on their backs to get scratches and play. thanks for sharing

As much as i would love one, is'nt it hard ensuring they get the correct balance of food they need?

Not really Scully. There are alot of good nectar replacement products on the market.
I feed mine dry lori mix, wet lori mix, fruit and blossoms when in season.
