I'm so excited. My son has one Male, white, dove and one Female, peach, dove. well they are sitting on an egg. I know it should be 2 eggs but my is always giving them flying time in his room, I had forgot to tell him they were getting close to laying eggs, so they had the first one outside their cage and it broke.

some sad news. the egg was due to hatch on Sunday. Yesterday the doves were switching places and my son got a glimpse of the egg. It had been slightly crushed. Enough that there was no hope for the embryo inside to survive. My son was sooooo upset. We are now waiting for them to mate again and lay more eggs.

thanks!! The doves haven't realized that they are sitting on an empty nest just yet. I think its time for my son to have them start free flying in his room again. LOL that might get them back "in the mood" hahahaha
