Hi everyone! I'm from Tassie. Names Alice. And I have two beautiful birds, a rat, two dogs and two sisters (do they count as pets? Or pests maybe). My birds are Hobbit, who is a very nasty old budige. And Jack Sparrow, who is my baby turqoise parrot. He was born in November, and I handraised him from 2 weeks old.
My lovely rat is Dotti, and I have a staffy named Lilly and a toy poodle named Monique.
I joined because I saw some other members that had turqoise parrots. I havent been able to find many other people with them, and have never ever found one who handraised a turq.

Hi allie, welcome aboard ;D
My you do have a full house! I think the sisters would be classed as "pests" rather than pets, although they may have something to say about that lol.
Hobbit sounds great! I love birds with attitude lol! Looking forward to hearing more about your feathered and furry friends and hope to see pictures too - we love pictures!! ;D
Enjoy your stay with us ;D

Hobbit is just mean He attacks my little baby Jack (not that I blame him, Jack drives him insane at times). They like to sing to each other, but Hobbit doesnt like it when Jack gets too close to his seed. You will see lots of pictures of my beautiful animals Especially Jack, as I documented his life from the first day I got him (he was a very ugly little thing). Hard to get pictures of the rat, because she likes to stick her head right into the camera.

Boris- Are you in Australia? Heaps of pet shops in Tassie have turqs right in the shop. They are pretty common in Tas. But I got mine from a breeder. And he has got a lovely personality, he is a very cute little bird, rather stupid at times, but he is young. He knows how to rub my other bird the wrong way and get attacked for it. Doesnt learn Yup, I am in Tassie. I'm on the east coast. St Helens.

I'm in Queensland. We have to have a movement permit for Turqs up here so most pet shops wouldn't even consider them. Ones I have been to don't have them, I think it's because they are so pretty that they get snapped up pretty quick.
