Hi, I am an ex Brit now living in Rhodes Greece. I have bred birds on and off for around 20 years, Canaries are my favorite, Borders,Norwich,Glosters or Yorkshire. My 1st reason for joining the forum is to inquire if anyone can advise me (1) on the importing/exporting birds within Europe, (2)Can direct me to preferably a forum member who may if possible provide me any of the above breed of canaries if circumstances allow and lastly anyone on the forum living in Greece.
Many Thanks, Russell.

Thanks for the welcolme. As far as I have seen you can get many species from Parrots to Canaries, Canaries seem to be the most popular for there song. The reason I would rather try and import from the UK is the canaries here are not really bred for type, size etc mainly for song also seem to be very small birds.

Welcome! Sorry I can't help you either... wish I could. I totally sympathize with you on different breeding standards in different countries. The US is pretty good, but I've had a really hard time finding nice budgies here starting out. (I've only had budgies for around 5 years...I feel like an infant! ) They are all tiny it seems! I still love them of course, but for breeding... well you know.
