I read about your group on BirdBoard.com. My husband and I have had Doves for 16 years (ring-necked and White). Over the last 2 years gradually added a pair of budgies, 2 par of Zebra Finches, 4 button quail and a dutch blue lovebird. We also have 7 cats and 3 dogs. Then in May of this year We were given a Slender billed Conure from a friend who could no longer take care of her. Ginger turned 2 in August. About the same time my husband got our third dog ( a St Bernard ). We were happy , the vet was happy and so Was Pet Smart. At the end of September another friend decided she needed to focus on her kids and she gave us 4 parrotlets, a rosey bourke, 6 more budgies, a pair of Fischer lovebirds, a black masked blue lovebird, and 2 male cockatiels. In the meantime my budgies had babies (7) and the finches had babies (12) and the black masked blue and my dutch blue had babies (3) The Vet is happier and so is Pet Smart. I am not so sure The parrotlet pair is nesting, the Fischer's did not hatch and yesterday she brought me a pair of White faced Cockatiel. I love them all. I spend most of the Time I am not at work with them. I have given some finch and 6 of the budgies to friends who are already responsible for their other pets. I an continually learning and hope to get lost of advice from all of you.

Hi Leslie Welcome to Bird Crazy to you and your flock (both furred, feathered and human). Boy, you sure don't do things by halves! What a great thing you do accepting pets that owners can no longer house. You deserve a Karma Point for that!
