so with so many birds do you keep them outside or are they in the house? If they are outside are they in a building with heating and AC? For those outside do you live in a climate that gets below 0? I hope you don't mind all the questions. I know what I did when I had my budgies and I guess I'm just curious how different your setups all are. Also part of the reason I'm asking is I live where we get way below 0 in the winter and I may want to move my gouldians outside if they can handle the extreme weather.

Here in Tasmania is gets cold. Our Gouldian cages are lined to keep out the cold draft. There are not many Gouldians in open Aviary's here. All my breeders are housed out side. Winter time I keep the Gouldians inside the breeding area. I do not use heat with the gouldians as this tends to make them soft. Don't worry about asking questions as we don't mind at all. We all have to learn some how. One thing I would like to say is if you have one bird or hundreds this Forum is for you. As we all share the same passion and that is BIRDS. To me we are all the same Birdcrazy is the Best place to Learn all about birds, also for its up to date Threads within the Birdcrazy Forum. We at Birdcrazy also have a passion for our Members. Just a small part is to keep all the Birdcrazy members informed with all aspects regarding All The Sections.

cleaning the cages is an easy job I use allot of beach sand on the floor of each cage also it gives the birds some natural grit as well. so when the cages look a bit drab i clean them. once I set myself a routine it all folds altogether nicely. I think the most important thing to me is with the love I have for the birds it is up to me to provide the best conditions possible for the birds. As the birds rely on me for all there housing needs, food, live food, greens, fruit, veggies, seed, and all the other goodies it does come easy when you get used to it all. One good thing it never bothers me working with my birds I still have the same passion today as when I first started in Birds. What makes it all worth while is when the birds breed. To me birds are more than just a Hobby. I think also its important to spend as much time as possible with the birds as well. I can do almost anything inside the bird Avery's and the birds just look at me as if to say 'what do you want now' they don't even fly away from me.
