ooooops forgot the pic.... Judging from the pic i'd say the one in the food pot is a male, cant see the others head. there both red fronted Kaks, If his got red eyes his a lutino, and she may be a lutino pied. If they have black eyes i believe they called cinamons. this is my male and female and a couple of offspring

Nice birds there Jayme, hope you have as much fun owning them as we do, They are very addictive, just ask Karen. lol
Have they got any yellow feathers any where? Clyd sounds like a pure green to me and Bonnie a Cinnamon pied,( i may be wrong)
My Kiwi runs round the cage like a nutter when he wants to come out, his got so good at it that when he runs across the roof upside down he doesn't hold on with his beak. ( show off)

Nice pics there Karen, I'm sure yours will get the hang of it one day....
Judy, they seem to want to breed all year round, mine have just had 2 clutches straight off and since i took the nest box out all Kiki ( the female) wants to do is find some where to nest. she even managed to get in the cupboard where the nest box is.
I read that will bread for 3 years and then retire after that.

Not sure about that one Karen, might be her way of getting him to take notice of her..
Both our pairs act in different ways, Sugar and Spice nip at each other, and Kiki and Kiwi jsut get on with it lol

I don't know if your birds are the same Karen, but if i move mine or handle them they seem to sulk for about a week after...
I f there doing the same, give them a couple of weeks and they'll soon start taking notice of each other..
What i noticed with my mum's pair is the female seems to do all the initiating, trying to edge closer and closer. You'll know if she likes him but the head down, bum up stance and the funny noise she makes to entice him...
