Well since I am new to the forum I thought that it would be a good introduction to my birds if you got to see them. This post is heavy on the pictures but who doesn't love looking at pics of cute little budgies. Any way here they are:
This is Petrie, my first budgie that I got 4 years ago.
Isn't she cute!!!
This is Ceaser, my second budgie.
Isn't she unique, I have never seen another like her.
This is number three, Jake.
He's our little acrobat.
Elwood, number four.
I saw him and couldn't resist.
And finally number five!! He finally got the name Houdini!!
Isn't he Cute!! (Houdini)
I hope you have enjoyed the pics of my budgies, there will be more to come shortly. If you can think of any names for our newest budgie that would definately help. He is so crazy an he absolutely loves to be on the bottom of his cage running around. Again, if you think of anything let me know. Thanks.

Unfortunately she didn't make it through the night, but atleast I know that she was loved for the short time that I had her. They told me to stop by tomarrow after class to take a look at the new babies that they are getting tomarrow. I might bring one home but we'll see. I am going to watch them for a while. I'll let you know what happens.

Well, thanks for the congrats but, I only had her for three hours!!! I got her home and noticed that her foot was a bit sore and that she had a limp.(You can see it in the picture, she is leaning so she wasn't stand ing on it!!) I took her out of her cage and put her on my finger and that foot had no grip and it was cool to the touch. I put some seed on my bed and she had to crawl to it with her belly on the ground and pulling herself around with her beak and other foot. I called the place that I got her from and they told me to bring her in and they would have a look at her. On the car ride there she got alot worse and she just laid in the box. When I got there they told me that they had rehabilitation tanks in the back and that she looked really bad. They told me that I could get another one but I told them that I would wait so they wrote me slip saying that when I came back in that I could get a new one. I hope that she is doing alright, she is in my prayers, but the way she looked tonight as I gave her to them, I am not sure. As I was leaving the guy told me that they were getting more budgies in on Thursday so I might just go and look and watch for half hour or and hour and make sure that they are all doing great. Thanks again.
By the way, I had to name her and we named her Sweety, because she was such a Sweetie.

Her cere looks blue but in person it has a distinctive white around the nostrils. Once again, I need some suggestions for names please. Thanks!!

I know that I only lost Petrie this morning but my heart was telling me to go out and get a new little baby to join the flock after quarentine. I needed to do this for myself, as well as, for the other members of my family and my remaining flock. She is the smallest little budgie that I have seen in a long time. Here she is: So cute!! I'm pretty sure I got a female this time!! She has pretty interesting wings. I love that stripe. I will get more tomarrow but I want to let her settle in and get comfy. Any name suggestions for her?? Thanks~ Melissa

As you may be able to tell my family and i finally chose a name for our fifth budgie: Houdini!! It fits his personality great, every time we try to change the food and water he tries to sneak out of the doors. He's our little escape artist. This post is pic heavy so enjoy.: Ha Ha, I got out!!! Houdini relaxing, happy and content! He is so handsome!! Posing for the camera!! Now some more of Jake and Elwood: If you look at his head he is going through his first molt, my baby is growing up!!! Love those wings!! ~Maybe I can sneak away~ I'm back, don't you love me!?! I love showing off for the camera, means more publicity for me. Here get my good side. Hope you enjoyed that, thanks for all of your help with the names. I really appreciated it and they all were great, but I guess in the end he chose his name himself. Have a great day!!

Not really, we were just trying to think of things that might go with Houdini. Those are the three names that just keep showing up. Others have been Magic, Trick, and Copperfield. I did like Harry though Thanks for that!!

Firstof all there is Pepper, because he looks like a bell pepper, second theres Jellybean, and then there is Cane or Kane, because living in florida we alawys hear about Hurricanes. So what do you think. Also if you think of anything else let me know!! Thanks

Ok, well we have had Houdini for 6 days so far and he loves being with us. Now I know that is a good thing but I think he likes being with us too much. When he is in his cage he runs from side to side and tries to get out, hince the name Houdini. Yesterday he went to the side of the cage between the food dish and the wall and pushed it up and got stuck. I went out yesterday and bought different food dishes that hang on the side of the cage so he can't do that any more. I also bought a lot of toys, some to hang from the cage, some that go on the perch and some that go on the floor to keep him happy while he's in the cage, but nothing seems to work. The only time that he is happy and content is when his cage is covered for the night, or when he is out with me. Any suggestions on what I can do to get him to like his cage or the toys in it or just to calm down a little? Thanks.

Ok, I know that a few of you here have quite a number of birds and I was wondering if you have one that is the "runt" of the flock. Elwood is by far the smallest budgie I have, and seems to be getting picked on from the other birds. He gets pushed off perches and pushed aside when eating. What can I do to make sure that he gets all he needs? Thanks in advance for the help!!

Thanks a11ycat. That did help quite a bit.I actually started doing that last night. the female is the braver of the 2 and I got her to step up but the little male would have nothing to do with it. Hopefully after a few days he will get the idea that I am here to love him not harm him.
