awwww thanks guys They are quite adorable, and can certainly hold their own with the youngsters. I'm sure you're right Karen - the lump itself is sort of yellowish under the skin, which makes me think it's fatty. When she first arrived the lump was so large that she had a completely bald belly, and she also had a large amount of fluid surrounding it. It was so bad that her belly was overhanging the perch that she was sitting on (on both sides!). Happily all the fluid now seems to have gone, and (it might be my imagination!) the lump does seem to gradually be getting smaller. There are even a few feathers breaking through now, and she's definitely much more active. I'll take another pic in a couple of weeks to let you see how she's progressing.

Well folks, here they are ...... my pensioner budgies, the latest additions the Batty flock This is Albert This is Victoria As you can see Victoria has a rather large lump on her tummy, although I'm glad to report that now she is getting more exercise this is starting to slowly reduce in size. I think she's already half the budgie that she was a week ago She's even flying now, and couldn't do that 2 weeks ago This afternoon she even went so far as to sneak out of the aviary when I wasn't paying attention - she manage to fly half way across the lounge before gliding to the ground Albert is a real hit with the youngsters, and they never stop flirting with him He always comes back to roost close to Victoria at night though ... bless I've been told that they are either 7 or 8 years old.

Me thinks that giving Harvey the Horn a tunnel to shout down may not have been your cleverest idea this year Scully

Me too Even better though Donna, this means that you have to get at least two more budgies One to call Bradford (to go with Bingley), and another to call Jane for Darcy I'm sure you could sneak 'em in under Mr Scullys radar

I have the same problem with Mr Tickles The only thing that will get him out of the aviary is a nice glass of wine ;D Sadly I haven't had any wine for about a month, so he's just been sitting in there sulking while all the others come out to play

They're so cute My little stinkers pull the same trick on a regular basis - lots of shrieking and yelling only to end up on top of a picture frame sleeping

Mr Tickles is probably the laziest budgie in the world , and rarely comes out to fly with the others. There is however one thing that is sure to get his attention And that would be .... His favourite Bottle of WINE! First we must take a good sniff of the bouquet and arouse out sense of smell Then .... in we go! HEAD FIRST!! I just don't know who he gets it from

You're right it wouldn't - the poor dogs would get dizzy trying to catch them Joking by the way for all those about to call the RSPCA!
