Help, why doesnt my tiel sing anymore

hello everyone!

I was wondering why my male tiel Jake doesnt sing anymore? i know he has a mate but he hasnt even sung a little bit since we got her. I hope he isnt unhappy! Just cant think of anything else as the reason for him not singing anymore (apart from Jesse his girlfriend.) He doesnt sing in the morning either.

update: i have taken Jake to the vet and he said that Jake is perfectly healthy but doesnt know why he has stopped singing. I am going to make sure he is getting enough sleep every night, but i think it may be the place where the cage is, maybe he doesnt like it. its near a window, there is no draft or anything but maybe he doesnt like the furniture so close to his cage???

Any suggestions would be very helpful!!

Is he moulting? Has anything else changed in his routine that might have "put him off"?
Maybe he is having a hormonal period too & this could be affecting him.

No he isnt moulting, i havent heard him sing for months!!! he just stopped!! he doesnt even sing to his girlfriend either i am really worried that he isnt happy. but he is eating and drinking ok, he doesnt seem ill or anything. he looks fine.

Its strange i know that if you give them a mate they wont sing as much but he has stopped altogether i tried playing a video clip of a cockatiel singing but all he did was eat! Jesse on the other hand went bonkers!

i know this sounds a bit mean but he is quite a grumpy fellow!! when i go near him or when he is on my shoulder i never know if he going to mock bite me or not. sometimes all i have done is talk to him when he is on my shoulder and he has been a little aggressive and got me with his beak, but not hard! thankfully
