Oh what lovely finches, I used to have Zeebees but didn't get as far as getting Bengaleese. When I used to have my aivery I had a small planter with grass in it and the funniest thing was when the Zeebees were nesting to watch them yanking of bits of grass and trying to fly up to a perch with a piece of grass several times their size in their beaks.
They do breed like bunnies though don't they. I ended up with 14! #rolleyes#
Nice aivery you have there. We had a solid roof on ours and perspex pannels just below the roof as there were a lot of cats where we used to live and other people with aiverys had lost birds either from frights from cats or cats clawing them through bars. Bad cats!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Welcome aboard
Billie

Great aviary you have there! The birds look lovely and very happy.
There is a large colony of Double Bars that hangs around my aviaries, very pretty birds just a thieving nuisance! lol

thanks, my husband and my brother built the aviary! we have had the finches since june and already they have had 3 clutches! i went in this morning and there is another lot almost ready to leave the nest to explore! I thought the egg food was being gobbled up fast!! this will be the bengaleese's second clutch! CORRECTION! one baby has flown the nest and is exploring!! i would take a pic but its just started raining! he is a lovely white one, but came from 2 grey parents!

Do you have any fawn zeebies, I ended up with a fawn set from a pair of greys.
I love the look of baby zeebies they have cute grey beaks.
