He is gorgeous isn't he... our little Bernie #heart# #heart# It was his whole foot really, as you can see from the picture (I think) there is nothing really wrong with it... just a bit pink. You can see in the fourth pic down that he is using it to balance on the edge of the bowl but with most of the weight on the other one. It's absolutely fine now though... all back to normal.
Puku is still about the same, she seems to be fripping with her feet better but still standing on them the same way and still not wanting to do anything. I brought her out with the others this morning to see how she went and after about 5 mins of nibbling some food she just went into her cage and sat in the corner on the floor. So I put her back in the small heated cage. Its so awful to see her like it when she is usually so full of beans and up to all kinds of mischief, I just hope she gets better soon! : (

Absolutely stunning! I am so jealous of you having all those birds inside & flying & playing around you, my father hates the kakariki & I am forbidden to have any inside.

I checked for an egg on the first day Scully and I can't feel one and she is pooing too so I don't think it's that. They say on the kak site that if they are egg bound they'll usually die within a day or so, so I am pretty sure thats not it. Good suggestion though.
