What is the best way to train baby alexs from stopping to bite at an early age, cause they have a big beak and can do alot of damage not only to humans but to furniture. Paulie is a good ear nibbler at the moment and latches on playfully but wont let go. Help would be good at this time

He will grow out of that biting. I call it the teething stage and most baby alex's go through it. When my boy was a baby I didn't allow him on my shoulder until I could trust him. When he bites say NO to him in a loud voice and he will soon learn it is wrong to bite. My boy has just turned 12 months and he has never bitten me. When he was young he did try but I always saw it comming and distracted him from biting.

Hey im excited ive got an answer thats working for me when Biggles gets nippy, its a sharp no, and put him on the floor. they dont like being that low as you know. hes getting there, hes in a baby finding out how far he can go stage. i read this online, on a conure site, and it makes sense, so thats what we are doing. As your has a much bigger beak i would not even let him nibble. now when i say no, he will stop, but he still has that Conure stubborn streak. hope this helps

I am still trying on the no thing donna, and it seems to be working, I got told he is cranky cause he is going thru his molting stage and they get somewhat temporamental and will grow out of this stage(I hope). But I am still perservering with it. It seems to be working. He wont dare let anyone else go near him.
