Well another month has gone by and for those of us Down Under tomorrow marks the first official day of Winter.
You guys in the Northern Hemisphere in Spring now?
It has been an eventful month here for both members and staff.
Sal has put a new home page before the forum to help with the looks and improve security for the members.
We've said goodbye to 2 Staff Members who have left the forum, namely Chickabee (Deb) & Loribabe (Judy), we wish them both well.
Members events included:
Kiwi brought home Megan, a gorgeous little brown Headed Parrot courtesy of Mueb, check out her website: www.mkb-birds.co.uk/
Scully shares ideas on entertaining Ziggy, namely an empty tissue box! Marbles and a twirly perch! She saw looked like she was enjoying them! Look in Parakeet pictures to see the lovely girl.
Phill has a big job cutting up all the fruit and veggies for his guys – made extra hard when CJ & Jessie jump in and take over the bowl! Hehe
Shell showed us some beautiful cockatiel chicks – they turned out into very beautiful birds! I am very jealous of cockatiel owners, their birds are gorgeous!
Her birds also seem to really enjoy their rice and veggies too.
Big photo shoot too from Shell showing us her tiels. Shell, can I have Bear? He’s sooo handsome!
Rick went to a bird show and got himself a pair of yellow Turqs and a Scarlet hen. You did very well Rick, they are very beautiful birds you’ve gotten.
Kiwi shows us pics of her Kakariki Sid - whom she kindly rehomed for George as Sid was being picked on by the girls – and her girl Kiwi. They look good together!
Shells Kaks are very handsome and in excellent feather – reckon they will breed lovely chicks for you Shell. Have they bred many for you yet?
Ricks kaks are sitting on a clutch of 5 eggs! Good luck, I hope this clutch hatches for you.
jobas is looking for a kakariki breeder in Europe/UK as she’d love to get in touch with you – or if you know someone please let her know. She’s a New Zealander who has moved to the Belgium/Netherlands border. Bit homesick Jody?
Poor Biggles had been a bit grumpy lately but lucky for mummy Scully it didn’t last long – he came out of it rather well and even enjoyed a bath, and I mean a bath in a real bathtub not a birdie bath! Hahaha
We are shown some top notch pics of Shell’s Buddie a particularly handsome Galah! I love those guys! Want to get one soon.
Melissa is raising an adorable little baby budgie! He’s very cute Mel!
Budgiebuddy had a beautiful budgie fly in from nowhere! Now that’s fate!
Check out the Budgie Pictures section – there is a fantastic photoshoot from Melissa & Lady. Kat has Norton at home and what a cutie!
Graham Green gave his mum Scully a scare! Nasty injury on his leg there Scully – I’m sure he will be back to his old self in no time.
Sky gave her mum Billie a health scare too, she had a lump that gladly went away with TLC from mum no doubt and on her last trip to the vet the lump had disappeared! YAY for Sky!!
