Rainbow Lorikeets' personalities especially when tame are amazing. They are one of the cutest and funniest birds around. Forever the entertainer. I've yet to know someone with a tame Rainbow who doesn't have to keep an eye on their feet. For some reason they love to play attack and wrestle with your feet!

Yeah they sure are full of character. They love to wrestle all the time lol. Today the bubs are 5 weeks and 3 days old....and here they are with more colour! Lots of feathers on the back as well... Kissy time.... And the positions we like to sleep... That little one is always sleeping in the weirdest postions. Even on it's back! lol

Awww thanks for the Karma points laurie, you were my first! lol No probs with the questions, I will try and answer them lol. YES definately messy......well I would say more "squirty" than anything. lol These little sweeties have, at times, very horozontal, wet projectiles lol. Carpet sucks up their waste like a sponge lol As for noise levels....well if you don't like to sleep in the mornings and don't mind their evening chatter, then they aren't too bad lol. I think they could be a bit louder than a ringie. Here is a link to rainbow chatter. Number 33 on the list. Just imagine that sound but LOUDER lol They love their fruit and do make a bit of a mess with it. But I can ignore the "squirtiness, loudness, and messy eating habits coz I just love 'em. Oh wait till they have grown a bit more and have much better developed personalities.....thats when I got to have my camera ready..... well I am so glad your not bothered by the questions.. ever since I seen "Robby"-mybirdpix`s rainbow, I have been smitten & then you come along & blow me away with these babies lol it just made the wheels in my head turn after reading your reply it jarred my memory a bit, & a gal I knew in Oregon had several & I remember now her telling me that even though they tended to be messy characters, the "Pet Quality" of these birds, far out weighed there water soaked power squirts LOL! (makes me think of what my hubby would call-pooping like a crippled goose) MEN! but in that case it rings true lol I used to have several geese so I know!! would they disturb the green cheeks if I were to set up a pair in my bird room? so far the ones that I set up in their with the green cheeks were Lovebirds at one time & there relentless chattering literally drove them nuts, I swear i betcha if the GC could have gotten hold of a stiff drink they would have if they wouldnt go together well I may remove the GC`s from my current room (since its concrete flooring)& better suited for easy cleanup! then I could move the GC`s upstairs in the small bedroom I can just see hubby now!! WHERES MY OFFICE?? lol dunno baby Guess the Greenies decided its there room now

I used to have a pair of aviary GCCs next to the Rainbows and it didn't seem to bother them. Gave the Green cheeks a good excuse to screech louder lol Hmmmmm....maybe the GCs were swearing at the rainbows I have found the Rainbows don't really "chatter" like most birds. They have their noisey moments early mornings and evenings, with the odd call during the day. Oh and when it's raining, they LOVE their water!!! Maybe IF you have to move the Green cheeks WHEN you get your rainbows , then you could tell your husband that you thought he might have liked the company during those l o n g hours in the offfice. And you did it all for him! It's all about the guilt trip

True! I do believe I will have a heart to heart with my man! he will have a coronary when he sees the birdie gym I am considering! LOL! if my new greenie babies make it, they most likely will stay here...now the trick is finding me a rainbow breeder here!! hope its easier than finding a Kak breeder! I bet ya the rainbows wouldnt bother the GC then if they dont chatter..Lovies tend to chatter & chatter & chatter non-stop lol as long as theres light! its social time for a lovie LOL! the greenies were ready to pop there heads off like grapes! Im getting Jazzed again! I guess one day you all will have to konk me on the head to make me stop! adding family members!!

Robby says AWWW Shucks Laurie but you're right after spending time with Robby I went and got another lorikeet. Billy's personality is totally the opposite of Robby's but the clown like behavior is so addictive. Seeing these sweet baby pictures makes me want 2 more but I think I need to build a ceramic room just for them. I find it's the easiest to clean up. Robby and Billy have taken over my bathroom for play time. I get a small corner of the room and they have the rest
