I bake this mix once every two weeks for my birds.
Truthfully i sort of chuck it together, but the base is normally cooked vegetables, and museli. or frozen veg, apple puree.
This week it was
1 sweet potato
Few carrots
Broccolli
Vegtable pasta twists
Sweet corn
Boil all this together untill almost soft, drain and get excess water out. Mix together leaving a bit chunky.
I buy this brand of Museli, in 6 mini packs for this reason.

you will see the different types, i only use their museli as its low in salt.
I chuck in a pack of this, and if i make alot of veg mix i top up with oats, weetabix, and flaked Millet. Or cherios and plain rice.
Whatever is in my cupboard at the time.
If you have them finely chopped dandilion leaves
Then i add some unsalted mixed nuts, (i blend my own)and hulled sunflower seeds/mixed seeds, and some birdie vits and calcium.
Mix until you have a sort of flapjack mix. Bung in a baking tray and bake on gas 5, untill firm. This week i added a small pinch of cinnamon. Cut into squares and freeze. This will last the two weeks, as i dont give it every day, but its great if im running late in the mornings. Normally Ziggy and Biggs get some every other day. Or i use it like a treat.
My dogs and my birds enjoy this. The little ones in the avairy, who dont eat much veg like it as well. If i pop a square in with chopped fruit, they will normally go for this first.
Cooking for your birds i think encourages them to eat vegtables, and its a great time saver for you.
