The black ones are Silkies and the others Buff Nankins. The plan is to have the little foursome lay me eggs and then when they get broody buy hatching eggs, rear them up, and eat em I'll keep my four lovely ladies alive though...I'm totally besotted. Been digging up worms for them all day!

Thought I'd give an update today because they've grown SOO much and today I found my first eggs! I think they're buff nankins as they were quite small and I'm fairly sure the Silkies aren't quite there yet! This is Georgia at the front with Elle (silkie) and Gabby behind her. Small but scrappy Gabby Georgia & Gabby bottom of screen with Elle & Charlotte behind. Charlotte is the owner (I think) and my first two eggs. The first two! I wasn't expecting any until Mid september but she's obviously decided to start laying early.

Oh they are just gorgeous. I love silkies and hope to get one or two eventually. I've never heard of nankins before, they're very sweet. I've got silver pencilled wyandottes and a black/brown frizzle, they're all bantams.

I've got silver pencilled wyandottes and a black/brown frizzle, they're all bantams. I love frizzle's and attempting to get one or two to add to the collection. I also love Pekin's, and would like some white & blue silkies....oh gosh, looks like I'm gonna need some more space, I better buy a bigger house!!
