Hi there! My name is Zeno and I am new to bird keeping and I hope to get my first bird(s) soon. I hope to get into paleontology when I go to college and I am very interested in the connection between dinosaurs and birds.
Cheers! ;D

Welcome to the site Zeno. I hope you enjoy yourself here. I read an article about a week ago that was talking about the link between dinosaurs and birds - pity my memory has made me forget what the link between them was!

Thank you for all the warm welcomes! I don't know what I'm interested in getting. I was thinking either finches, or pigeons/doves.

Hi Zeno and welcome to the forum...have you got any fossils? seeing what you would like to study...sounds very interesting. As for birds, have you got a cage or avairy yet? Finches would be my choice out of your suggestions , there are so many, and such pretty little things enjoy the boards

Hi Zeno Welcome to the mad-house we're a friendly bunch on here, so any questions please don't hesitate to ask. Like Scully said finches are fab - loads of varities. One other suggestion would be lovebirds - still nice and small, but very comical, very colourful, and you would also have more chance of them potentially becoming tame. If you give them a quick google, you'll be amazed as just how many colour varities there are. When I win the lottery (tonight according to the lady in Tescos that sold me the ticket!) I'm gonna have an aviary stuffed full of 'em
