Good Morning,
I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions on how to get Sammy back in her cage at night. Up until last night I just had to tell her, "Night Night Sammy" and she would go right in. But last night, OMG...she would not go, she would sit on top of the door, hiss, puff out her feathers and carry on. After an hour I brought a chair out from the kitchen, stood on that to make myself taller than her and then she went in.
And does anyone have any ideas on how I can get her to stop the dominant behavior?
Any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Actually Jeanne you've answered your own question!! you mentioned getting a chair to get above her - well that's the way to stop dominant behaviour. You must have her lower than your face at all times - then she will realise you are the leader of the pack & not her

That was what my thoughts were as well. She'll keep doing it as long as she knows she can get away with it. Don't wait an hour next time.
