hi i am really worried about my birdies they are always fighting each other and it sounded like my green harlequin must have nipped the other budgie i have and hurt her because sounded like she cried however that sounds. im really worried should i separate them.the lady at the pet shop said i shouldnt put a mirror in there but maybe it would stop them from fighting.it would be so great if i could get some help thanks guys.

Well, in my somewhat limited experience, you have to give them lots of room, and even then sometimes females can be feisty. I don't think a mirror would make a difference, but I don't think it would hurt. Try putting different perches in there so they can have their own, and maybe have seperate food dishes. Other than seperating them, that is all I can think of. My budgies fight every once in a while, but they have lots of room and the skirmishes are pretty rare.
Is it jump on the other bird and pull out feathers fighting, or just the nip and screech fights?

What about one of those Budgie Buddy's perhaps another lookalike might defuse the grumpy hens

My grumpy hen has taken it to another level and has so far perpetrated two budgie homicides. Another hen is no longer allowed to enter her sight because there is sweet hell!

I had a hen that'd kill her mates. I lost 2 boys before I realised it was actually her killing them and not an accident.
