well i let him out today he wasn't all that active getting used to surroundings i expect? he flew around for a bit the 1st time spoke to himself in the mirror bless him. then perched himself on my fan light and just jumped around up there had fun trying to get him bk in when i had to go out lol. let him out again later he flew around for a bit perched himself on my curtain pole and slept there till put bk in his cage(had to tempt him down with pomegranate) sure he will get better when he get's used to it all.

he lets you handle him after 1 day???my budgie attacks me when i try to put treats in her cage. :'(nice bird though.hes a chunky monkey. ;D Bryn was hand raised chirperfan, they are amazing if they've been hand raised. As many members on here will tell you, parent-raised chicks are very hard to tame and require lots of regular time and allot of patience as it can be very slow going to gain their trust. thanks every1 for all the fab comments, I'm so happy with him . he was parent raised Kiwi lol he was handled on a regular bases by the breeder tho so I'm guessing that's why he's so tame as that pic was taken his 1st nite with us, she did say only one of her hen chicks didn't like bn handled. he comes and climbs up my arm or perches on my hand/finger when I'm cleaning his cage, giving fresh food/water etc so I'm hoping to let him out in the next couple of days should that b OK? x
