i have both, the first nest i had were 3 different mutations, 2 girls and 1 boy, the girls : cinnamon and lutino, now this year the cinnamon had 5 different mutations and 1 was a cinnamon boy and the father is a whiteface pied further i had normal Grey male, cinnamon whiteface male, also pearl cinnamon whiteface and whiteface girls in fact when you breed cockatiels the colors comme from the male, the shape of the girl if you have for instance if you have a male with cinnamon and lutino in the genes, you can be sure that these 'r girls only if pied you wont have pied if there is no pied in the girl if you have pearl and cinnamon in the man you can have pearled cinnamon girls.

AWWWWWWWW!!!! Now, I'm no tiel expert AT ALL but I do happen to know that only the females have bars on their tails. actually when tiel's 'r young both male as female have bars on their tail but males Will sing at an early age, females do not, also if she is a she the tiel won't change colors and keep the bars if she's a he the bars Will disappear the young of a cockatiel always look female until they get to the age that they shed, but you might keep an eye on the attitude of the tiel, if she sings it's an he ;D

Your lovies are so darn cute! I used to have a pair years ago....they sure were a noisy pair and chewed their way through cords of wood and my fingers too...lol. I had Cockatiels once upon a time as well....and I just loved them so much but my lungs didn't so I had to rehome them. oh, to bad, i hate it when it comes to that, i have to rehome my budgies because i have to change things like build a new home for my birds and because i have no place to put them until everything is build, so next year I'm goïng to begin with Rosella's maybe keep a few budgies if i can.
