Welcome to Bird Crazy! Good for you for helping out the birds! I wish I could take some in, but I'm having housing issues as it is.
I'm going to go check out your site, so welcome again!

Hey and welcome! Hope you can work something out. Just in general, any bird (if you want it tame) is going to need as much time as possible. Some of the other people on here can probably tell you more about the larger birds and lorikeets, that isn't exactly my area of expertise. About parakeets, though, if you get a parakeet, I'd probably suggest getting two, so they can keep eachother company. The taming would probably be harder that way, but if you're interested that can be discussed farther. Anyway, welcome again!

Wow, you are awesome! Loads of pics! They are great. Must keep you pretty busy! My fav. of the birds is Milo. Are ringnecks legal in CA? (Not that I'm going to report you if they aren't... I envy you!) The dragons are cute! I'm a bird, reptile, and amphibian person, so they are a highlight for me.

Welcome! Glad to have yet another CA person on here, I'm from Southern CA as well... Oh, I love labs! They are gorgeous dogs, and I can't wait to see some pics of your birds as soon as you find your camera. Of course, I'm not one to talk, seeing as how I can never seem to get pictures on here...

I don't know much about tiels personally, but just as a tip, it might be a better idea to warm the little baby up with body heat before leaving him under a lamp. Heat lamps can burn the skin and dry out the air without actually getting the inside of the baby warmed up. Also, if you have them in a box, you might try putting a little container of water in a corner where they can't get to it, and it will keep the air from getting too dried out for the last egg. (If you are already doing this then nevermind... Hope the little guy does better!

Welcome Shelly! Your tiels are lovely! Good luck with the little tiels, they are so tiny and fragile but they can really surprise you. Can't wait to see some more pictures! Oh...and my name's Liz, btw... Almost forgot that.

Welcome! Sorry I can't help you either... wish I could. I totally sympathize with you on different breeding standards in different countries. The US is pretty good, but I've had a really hard time finding nice budgies here starting out. (I've only had budgies for around 5 years...I feel like an infant! ) They are all tiny it seems! I still love them of course, but for breeding... well you know.

Welcome! Wish I had some snow...I've never had snow at my house. Maybe we could set up a trade? Some sun for some snow?
